The Story

Shinjuku StAItion builds private payments for AI agents: an x402 facilitator on Solana where an agent pays from a self-custodied shielded balance and the chain never shows who paid. Its token launched on ClawPump six days before the AnsemHack Clawrena opened, and the project won $2,500 in cash and 15% of the $ANSEM prize pool for agentic privacy and private x402 payments.

x402 lets an agent pay for an API call over plain HTTP. Shinjuku calls itself the privacy-only x402 facilitator on Solana: agents pay any x402 endpoint from a self-custodied shielded balance, sellers change one URL to accept it, and observers can see funds enter and leave without being able to connect a sender to a receiver. It also ships a self-custody agent wallet and a 3D black-market game as a showcase, and describes its settlement design as spanning Base, Robinhood Chain and Solana.

The token, now named ShinAI, was created on ClawPump on 13 August at 19:31 UTC. For about 19 hours nothing traded. It broke out on 14 August at 15:16 UTC, graduated from the pump.fun curve twenty minutes later, and traded as high as $375K on its second day.

Shinjuku registered for the Clawrena on its opening day, 19 August, for the ClawPump and UsePod tracks. Between 18 August and 8 October its token generated 215 SOL of creator fees, the sixth-highest in the competition.

On 16 October ClawPump named Shinjuku StAItion a winner for agentic privacy and private x402 payments: $2,500 in cash and 15% of the 0.1% of $ANSEM supply set aside for the hackathon. The next day the token set its all-time high, $585K. By 20 October it had traded $5.0M since launch and collected 474 SOL of creator fees.

Why It Matters

Agents that pay each other in public expose their business relationships. Shinjuku is a bet that agent commerce needs the same privacy people expect from payments, built as a drop-in for x402 rather than a new protocol to adopt.
